Roskomnadzor is consistently imposing restrictive measures against WhatsApp (owned by Meta, a corporation designated as extremist in Russia) in Russia due to violations of the law.
The messenger is used to organize and carry out terrorist attacks in the country, Roskomnadzor told TASS.
The report states that "WhatsApp continues to violate" Russian law. The messenger is used to conduct and organize "terrorist actions on the territory" of the Russian Federation, "to recruit perpetrators," and "for fraudulent and other crimes" against Russian citizens.
